What is AOVE lasolana2?
At Lasolana2, we don't just produce oil. We nurture a legacy.
We are a small olive-growing family nestled in the heart of Campo Cisnares. This is where our olives are born: carefully cultivated, harvested at the perfect moment, and transformed into an early harvest EVOO that retains all its intensity, freshness, and balance.
In this section, we tell you who we are, where our olive grove is located, what type of cultivation we practice, and how we harvest, process, and preserve our oil so that it reaches your table with the same purity with which it leaves the field. Plus, all the certifications that endorse the excellence of our EVOO.
Because behind every drop of Lasolana2 there is a story, a land… and a lot of love for what we do.
Our International Awards and Recognitions
Our story
It all started with a family dream... and a deep love for the land.
AOVE Lasolana2 was born from the dream of Cristóbal Sánchez Arán, a country nostalgic who, from the city of Almería, decided to look back to his roots in Oria and Chirivel, where he grew up among olive and almond trees.
This project is much more than a company: it is a family's commitment to a future rooted in values. We are the owners of a small organic farm, where we work every day with our own hands so that the saying "from the field to your home" is not just a pretty phrase, but a reality.
We personally handle everything: cultivation, harvesting, bottling, marketing, and distribution of our EVOO. My wife, my two children, and I do it all, with our enthusiasm intact and the courage needed to build something lasting, as long as life gives us health. Because we will never lack the desire.
We want those who try our oil to know that behind every bottle there is a modest, honest, and committed family, who only bottles what they grow, who takes care of every detail from the olive tree to your table, and who believes in excellence without shortcuts.
Our EVOO is limited because our production is. We do not buy olives from third parties: we only make oil with what our farm yields, and that allows us to offer a truly unique product, with an unmistakable flavor and complete traceability.
Every harvest is a celebration. And as a result of that effort, Lasolana2 has been awarded in the most prestigious competitions in the world, and certified with the SIQEV Seal of QV Extra Internacional, which guarantees high levels of polyphenols, natural antioxidants, and superior quality.
What makes AOVE Lasolana2 unique?
Location, climate, and conditions that make a difference.
🌍 A unique estate in the world
Our plantation is located in an exceptional spot: El Campo Cisnares, a high plain located north of the province of Almería, in the southeast of the Iberian Peninsula, between the Sierra de las Estancias (to the south) and the Sierra de María (to the north). This area covers part of the municipalities of Oria and Chirivel, belonging to the regions of Almanzora and Los Vélez, respectively.
Right in the heart of this landscape, at 1,100 meters above sea level, our olive trees are located. A place where time has a different rhythm... and the olive tree finds its own language.
The cold slows down our olive trees' cycle
🌦️ Unrepeatable weather in Europe
The location of our estate gives rise to a unique microclimate, halfway between a Mediterranean and continental climate. Here, winters are cold and dry, and summers are warm during the day, but with cool nights that relieve the soil and favor the natural balance of the olive grove.
This peculiar climate causes a delay in the flowering of our olive trees, which does not occur until late June and early July—in the middle of summer heat—at least two months later than in most olive-growing areas. This late flowering reduces fruit set and, therefore, production, but significantly improves the quality of the oil.
Fruit ripening is also delayed. For this reason, when we harvest, the olives have not yet completed their full cycle, retaining a higher concentration of bioactive compounds and a much more intense and expressive fruitiness.
You're not going to find anyone else like them.
💚 What others don't tell you... we do
📍 The estate was planted in February 1998, after a deep subsoiling (75 cm), to promote optimal root development.
🌳 We have 1,097 Picual olive trees, distributed over an area of 5 hectares.
We chose this variety not by chance, but for its cold resistance, its lower tendency to alternate bearing (alternate harvests), its high stability against oxidation, and its ability to maintain its flavor over time. In addition, its fruits have medium resistance to falling, which allows us to harvest them at their peak, directly from the tree.

🛫We travel to the US to meet the scientist who discovered Oleocanthal, Gary Beauchamp
We believe that a great EVOO doesn't end with taste, or even in the field. That's why, when we learned that our oil was rich in oleocanthal, we wanted to go further:
✈️ We traveled to the United States to personally meet the scientist who discovered this molecule.
👨🔬 We wanted to understand, firsthand, the real impact our oil can have on people's health.
💡 And we returned more convinced than ever of what we are doing.

Tasting Notes 2024-2025 Vintage
Limited and Numbered Edition
When the weather gets tough, the olive tree's character responds.
🌿 An oil born of resilience
The 2024-2025 season was marked by a challenging vegetative cycle: a spring with abundant rainfall was followed by a long drought with not a single drop of rain throughout the fruit's development.
Thanks to our regenerative agriculture techniques and controlled water use in September, we achieved a harvest of healthy, balanced olives rich in functional compounds, harvested exclusively from the canopy at their optimal ripeness (envero).
The altitude of the olive grove (1,100 m above sea level), the extreme microclimate, and the decision to harvest early before the first frosts, allowed us to obtain a fresh, structured, and aromatically complex juice.
Green, fresh, deep. An EVOO that speaks from the very first aroma.
👃 Sensory profile: potency and balance
Medium-high intensity green fruitiness, with clear aromatic notes of cut grass, olive leaf, tomato plant, green almond, and artichoke.
On the nose, it stands out for its vegetal freshness, vibrancy, and persistence.
On the palate, it expresses itself with strength and harmony:
🫒 Intense and clean fruitiness
🥬 Elegant and prolonged bitterness
🌶️ Enveloping spiciness, characteristic of EVOO rich in oleocanthal
A round and complex structure, leaving a very persistent vegetal aftertaste with hints of stem, wild almond, and green apple.
It doesn't just nourish. It protects.
🧪 Exceptional functional composition
This early harvest Picual EVOO is naturally rich in:
- Oleic acid (Omega 9)
- Vitamin E
- Polyphenols (799 mg/kg)
- Oleocanthal (natural anti-inflammatory compound)
- Squalene (532.2 mg/100g)
- Tyrosol and hydroxytyrosol (288.9 mg/kg)
These figures attest to its healthy nature and its very high stability against oxidation, which makes it a long-lasting extra virgin olive oil with extraordinary functional properties.
From the mundane to the sublime.
🍽️ Food pairing: versatility and elegance
Lasolana2 harmonizes with a wide range of dishes.
✨ Raw, it enhances artisan breads, fresh cheeses, summer salads, and grilled vegetables.
✨ In cooking, it adds elegance to white fish, seafood, pasta with fresh tomato, and vegetarian dishes.
✨ Even as a dip with a touch of salt and herbs, it becomes a sublime appetizer.
